From August 2002 to December 2005 a weekly syndicated column, Sibley on Birds, was distributed nationally by the New York Times Syndicate. Written by David Allen Sibley, Barny Dunning, and Chris Elphick and illustrated by David Allen Sibley (the team that edited the Sibley Guide to Bird Life and Behavior) the column focuses each week on a particular aspect of bird biology, often on a particular species. Each column highlights new research findings or seasonal topics that are of interest to birders and should be thought-provoking and educational for anyone interested in birds and the outdoors.
